I remember our family planning to visit Ft. Walton Beach the summer of 2010. It was our annual spot to soak up the sun and cool off in the ocean. Unfortunately, the BP oil spill occurred shortly before our trip. I remember seeing oil in the water from the balcony of our condo. We did not attempt to go into the water and it felt disappointing.
