growing up on Garner St. in Southfield, MI, I recall exploring the lush wilderness with friends and family. On most days, i could look to my backyard and find rabbits or even deer roaming about. I could maneuver back and forth from school by taking nothing more than a "hike through the woods." upon visiting my home town in 2012, I was shocked to see a drastic change from the neighborhood I loved. I instantly began to reminisce about the lush trees, playful wildlife, and engaged community.
